Pollen Avoidance
Southwest Michigan has very specific pollen seasons.
Trees pollenate in the spring, grass and weeds in mid-summer, and ragweed in late-summer. For detailed information regarding southwest Michigan pollen counts, download the pollen chart created by Dr. James McDonald. The following tips help reduce one's exposure to pollen.
Wash your your hair every evening before you go to bed.
Keep your bedroom windows closed.
Keep your car windows closed.
Set your car ventilation system to recirculate, rather than fresh air.
Do not hang your wash outdoors to try.
