About Dr. Swapnil Vaidya
Dr. Swapnil Vaidya, MD PhD ("Dr. V", as some of his patients call him) is board certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as Internal Medicine. He provides allergy, asthma and immunology care to patients of all ages. His professional interests include management of respiratory allergies, asthma, food allergies, insect sting allergies, eczema and allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots) among other allergic disorders.
Dr. Vaidya is trained as a physician-scientist and did his training at the following institutions -
- Allergy/Immunology Fellowship: University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX
- Internal Medicine Residency: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR
- PhD in Immunology: University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, TX
Prior to starting his practice, Dr. Vaidya was Associate Director of a clinical research group at the University of California San Francisco. In this capacity, he was involved in designing and implementing clinical trials for testing new treatments for allergic diseases. Dr. Vaidya was also involved in teaching medical students at UCSF and was nominated for a teaching award by the students in 2012. He has extensive research experience and has published numerous scientific papers in the fields of allergy and immunology.
Dr. Vaidya is a member of professional organizations including American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (JCAAI), Sigma-Xi and UNTHSC alumni association.
Dr. Vaidya and his wife, Kellie, enjoy living in Fort Worth. During free time, he likes to read and spend time with family and friends.
